The best me appears when I'm not there

---------------------------------------
When you watch your mind... willing to learn about how it works, what motivates it, with no preconceptions... you will discover something amazing.
Most of the time... you are dead!
You are an automaton... a zombie fixated on your inner world of thoughts... there is no space for real life to penetrate. You live in the interpretation of life and the mental manipulation of the sensory data that you receive. And it rarely gets to touch you.
Only when you step aside, creating space in which to observe 'what is'... can life penetrate and touch you.
Close your eyes and listen. Allow the sounds, whatever they are, just to be there. Try and listen to nature's sounds if you can... the call of a bird, the shushing of the wind in the trees. But if your environment is one of honking horns, hissing brakes and far off shouts -- then listen to that. Just let the sounds be. Get out of the way.
And when the stillness starts to penetrate you, as it will, you experience something extraodinary. A creative revolution in your being. It is like closing your eyes in one world and opening them in another.
And with that stillness, look on life with eyes that seek to see the truth, to see what is and not what you want to see.
When 'you' are not there, Life is a lot richer.
